About Me!
Hey!! I’m Kyle Hendricks and thanks for stopping by! Originally from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, I am a singer, actor, dancer, tennis fanatic, Philly sports fan, and former Guinness World Record Holder! I recently graduated from the University of Miami (go canes!) with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Sports Medicine.
From a young age I have never been able to sit still! Whether it was putting on a self-written cabaret in my sister’s tutu or playing every sport on the planet, I’ve always needed to be busy! At ten years old, while already on five athletic teams, I convinced my parents to take me to voice lessons after teaching myself how to sight read in my children’s church choir. Eventually my voice teacher persuaded me to audition for The Music Man Jr. in eighth grade and I played the role of Jacey Squires in a suit 4 times my size!
As well as being an actor with the same name as a legendary Cubs pitcher, I believe there are many more parallels between theater and sports than is credited. Since I was a child, I have loved the performance aspect of sports and once dreamed of becoming a professional athlete, but struggled to fit into a world where there wasn’t a gay male role model. My dream is to participate in works that help improve inclusivity in the sporting world to be more similar to that of the theater world. However, being cast in a staged musical version of the movie Challengers is also a dream.
Lately, my friends and family’s favorite game to play is “where in the world is Kyle?” because of how much I’ve been traveling between contracts! I’ve been to 10 different countries in the past year and immersing myself in different cultures is one of my favorite things in the world! Below are some snapshots of where I’ve been traveling.
